state park saturday

Thank you, for the Salt Plains State Park,

and getting to spend our Saturday there as a family, with one extra little friend.

Thank you for a beautiful day, complete with perfect weather,

and even another family who instructed us on how to properly dig for crystals.

Thank you that we were successful in finding some!  The kids were so surprised and grateful each time they discovered even the tiniest one.  They each left with a bucketful.

Thank you for this dirt loving little boy,

who got to pretend he was king of the mountain for once.

Thank you for sweet, salty faces,

and a chance to run barefoot races.

 Thank you God for ...

 

little boys who want to be big just like their daddy,

my sweet baby girl in snuggly pajamas,

my oldest who is teaching himself to draw,

the opportunity to homeschool,

beautiful artwork from the 4 year old,

jumping for joy just because we can,

keeping the three year old entertained,

children who love books,

and a daddy who reads to them.

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.  Psalm 62:1-2
